As a parent I'm writing to ask you not to place PS 24 students at RKA next year as has been proposed.

Classes are overcrowded now which puts a limit on the number of students one teacher can provide help to at any given time. This will only make the situation worse.

RKA is a PUBLIC school that ranks in the top 30. It behooves the City of NY to take action to this petition and listen to the voices of parents, faculty, and administrators who have sacrificed time and effort, and continuous involvement in RKA so RKA can rank so highly.

RKA is already too overcrowded and I feel it's a very bad idea to have elementary school children together with middle and high school students

MS/HS 141 does not have the space for the present students let alone additional students especially from an elementary school considering the growth of middle and high schoolers. It would also not be a healthy learning environment to mix middle schoolers and high schoolers with elementary school age children for numerous reasons. It is also unfair to the teachers, staff, and most importantly the students.

The school works hard to offer a competitive yet individual education model. our space is limited, classrooms have large number of students, and student body continues to grow
The poor management by the principal, and district in the PS24 space issue should not become our burden, or take away from an already stretched space and overcrowded building.

I have a child at RKA and a child at PS24 and I fully agree that placing 5th graders at RKA is a terrible idea for many reasons.

RKA needs all the space in the building. The halls are so crowded my daughter got pushed around. Please reconsider

I feel for the students and parents at PS 24 but I think RKA has enough of it's own crowding issues. Neither group of students should have to suffer for the DOEs lack of follow through in retaining the space at the Whitehall. I hope that a more reasonable resolution can be found to this issue.
