Dear Honorable Ambassador,
Having read many news reports, we are deeply disturbed by the plight of the young housemaid Rizana Nafeek, 19, who has been sentenced to death; allegedly for murder of an infant by a court in Saudi Arabia. Rizana was 17 when the incident occurred. She had had no prior experience of looking after an infant. This case is unique in the sense that young Rizana had no prior intention of killing the baby.
She has gone to Saudi to earn much needed money to help her family back home.
In addition to the steps taken by the government of Sri Lanka, we are exploring all the possible avenues to help save her life. We urge you to convey to his exceleency king Fahad Bin Abduli Aziz our humble plea that she be granted a pardon on compassionate grounds.
Thank you in advance for your kind consideration!
The momentum behind this plea is building and we cannot stop now. Copy the link and text it to three friends who need to know about Rizana. Keep the pressure on by emailing the embassy office today.

This is barbaric. A 17 year old girl doesnt deserve to die for a tragic accident. Let her go home to her family.

End the death penalty for kids. It makes no sense and solves nothing. Show some humanity.

She was just a child herself when this happened. This is so heartbreaking and unfair. Please have mercy.

She is so young. She went there just to work and help her parents. This is not justice.
