He was one of the most talented actors of his generation, and I find myself frequently thinking "River would have been great in this role." His death was a tragic end to a beautiful life, and his Hollywood legacy has definitely earned him a spot on this planet to be remembered, if not his admirable demeanor or his charitable love for everything the universe has to offer.

the first time i got into the 80s is when we were reading the outsiders in ela. i really liked the book so i researched it and watched the movie. from there i watched some of those actors' movies like the breakfast club and then i finally watched stand by me because i had heard so much about it. it is by far my favorite movie of all time. i always have had a connection with river ever since i first watched that. i researched and watched all of his movies too and watched all different kinds of interviews. when i discovered that he died, i didn't focus on how or where he died, because i know other people were doing that. it hurts me so much that people think river is so bad because he died of a drug overdose. that does not define him! i don't know why, but everyday when i see something that has to do with him, i cry and cry, hoping that river could hear me. i don't understand why river has such a big spot in my heart but it's something that has never happened before. even though i wasn't alive when river was, i feel like he is still with us and i feel like i have personally known him. i am still in shock that he died, and it has been 24 years. river would be 47 now. his death and life has impacted so many people including me especially. i not only adore river, but i also have so much respect for him. he took on the reality of hollywood at such a young age, taking on each role and making it his own, while still supporting and being there for his family and friends. he was such a pure and sweet person and like wil has once said, i believe river was like an open wound and felt everything. i can relate to him so much because i too feel things like that, which is perhaps why i have gotten so attached to him. it just doesn't click that he is really not with us anymore. he would be so proud of how far peta has gotten, because i know he had such a pure heart and really had a love for animals. he was so innocent and the most angelic human i have ever encountered

River honestly deserves the world and this star can show people that he really tried to change the world. He had such a sweet heart. I think his star should be there because not only was he an actor, he also had such a love for music and was good at it too, he also was vegan because he believed animals shouldn't be food.. and i'm a vegetarian now because of him. He has impacted so many people's lives.
