Since the closure of race tracks and motorsport facilities across NSW, there have been a substantial increase deaths related in speeding offenses as a percentage of road toll via the Roads & Maritime Services (RTA) statistics from 2007 - 2010 http://www.rta.nsw.gov.au/roadsafety/speedandspeedcameras/index.html Oran Park Raceway's closure in 2009 left Sydney with just one racetrack in that of Eastern Creek. We, the undersigned, would like to call upon the O'Farrell Government to look into a prospective site for a new facility in the South Western Sydney area for a state-of-the-art complex that could also be utilised for race meets of all motorsport categories, and double as a Driver Training & Education for Learner drivers and those that have their licenses suspended. Please Mr. O'Farrell, if this concept could reduce the amount of fatalities upon our roads, then it should NOT be discarded. Kindest Regards
