The school board voted unanimously this evening to rename the stadium to Riley Memorial Field. We are now coordinating with district administration to finalize the signage installation plans for the upcoming season.

I have submitted a formal request for a meeting with the school board to discuss the renaming proposal. Documentation regarding Joey Riley's service history is currently being compiled for the board administrator. I will provide a summary of their response once the office acknowledges receipt of these documents.

Joey was a true American hero and an all American hometown boy. His honor and dedication to his country would be greatly preserved for the future generations by naming the football field after him. He was a great football player and spent many happy hours on that field.
I miss you every day bro, you would be losing your mind over this possibility. Thank you to the originator.
I think this is a wonderful thing that we can do to say thank you to Joey for his life fit our freedom
The Riley Family thanks you all for this honor. We know his sacrifice will not be forgotten.
We miss Joey everyday but we find peace in knowing that he died doing something he loved and he made the ultimate sacrifice for his family and friends to live in a free nation.
God Bless American Hero
