UNITED SIKHS Right To Turban At Airport Petition Travelling? Your turban could be touched or removed. Since April 2010, EU regulations have followed the lead of American policy in allowing all turbans to be patted down or removed. Have you been a victim? Will you be a victim? What about your brother, sister or friend? Sikhs have already faced humiliation and threat of violence as a consequence in Poland, Spain and France. These regulations are currently suspended in the UK but travelling in Europe or the US a turban-wearing Sikh can expect to submit to additional screening that will involve the touching or removal of his/her turban.
