I am in the YAV class and we have a transgender that is in class with us. She has to sit on the mens side of the room when she is a LADY. She dresses, looks, acts, and talks like a lady, but was born with male parts. All of us feel that she should have the right to sit on the side with the rest of the young ladies. We are being taught in class to respect others and ourselves, but how can you respect someone when you go against who they are? I believe it is a contradiction to what we are being taught. And if what we are being taught is being contradicted, how are we supposed to learn?
