Right To Work While Being Transgender

Sad to know SF county doesn't support its workers... San Mateo County I an proud to say as my employer is all inclusive and very supportive of my transition journey

All people, regardless of gender, should be able to work at their chosen profession without fear of emotional, physical, financial or legal threat or assault.

As a bisexual person and friend of many trans people, I cannot see this happen. People deserve the right to work in a safe INCLUSIVE environment.

Every able bodied person, meaning physical and intellectual, should have a right to work. It should have nothing to do with race, gender, creed or sexuality

Hypocrisy and Transphobia at its worst, in so-called diverse San Francisco California!

Equality for all!!

How hypocritical of your own Administration to infringe upon your civil servant fundamental human rights, in such an appalling way. Shouldn't you lead by example to enforce the law, which protect transgenders' right to work, free of harassment? You should be made accountable & publicly shamed for your lack of proactively, as far as this matter is concerned. This employee has dedicated 20 years of his life, and career to your Ciry, is that the way San Francisco's city is dealing with transgenders rights to work? I'm a French national, living in the UK, and I'm appalled as such backwards mentality from across the pound!

Shame on you San Francisco!

Trans people deserve respect in the workplace. Our ability to produce quality work doesn't change with transition; it goes up! Companies should be trying harder to treat trans employees well and retain them, not belittle them.

This is the United States of American in 2016. Equality for transgender people should include the right to work in peace.

I hope it all works out my brother I know the feeling.

As a City and County employee, and a member of the LGBTQ community, I am appalled at the treatment of Mr. James. The City needs to stand behind its own laws and employee practices, and provide a safe, non-discriminatory working environment for all of us.

We deserve equal human rights.

This man deserves the freedom to live un incumbered by the privilege of others.
