I would like for us to save our knanaya community. We must come together as one. We are all apart of a great society.

Endogamy is the corner stone of KNANAYA COMMUNITY and we should never allow any outsider to interfere in our matters. We never forcefully send anybody out of this community. It is they who ask Permission to Leave the Eparchy of Kottayam (PLEK). I strongly believe that there is something special in our community that attracts even the ones who betrayed us and went away. The only permanent solution for this issue which I believe is to extend the jurisdiction of Kottayam Archeparchy to each and every part of the world. It is not only an issue in North America. This can come up in any of the Knanaya parishes across the globe.

People have the option to continue this beautiful tradition of endogamy. Nobody is forced to follow it and the people that leave do so knowing the full consequences of it. It is easy to destroy age old traditions we have but once it is gone, it is impossible to put it back. Please reconsider your decision to discontinue us Knanaya Catholics' Endogamy practice.
