It really stinks to be told that riding isn't a sport. To be told that 'you just sit there' is the worst thing a rider can hear. Riders are often not taken seriously and sometimes even made fun of or bullied. We all know that it takes a heck of a lot of courage to even get on a 1,000 lb animal, let alone control it. Seeing the count climb this high feels surreal after all the times people dismissed this effort. It is exhausting to keep fighting for basic respect but seeing this shift in attention reminds me why I started.

I think i already did this but its true riding is a sport. Its just harder than a normal sport
PREACH. riding is harder than half the stuff they play in gym class. tired of people saying the horse does everything lol
Riding is a sport.... It's in the olympics and I don't think basketball is it in the Olympics sooooo
I feel the exact same way all the people at school including my brother say how do you get the exercising just sit there and like do-nothing is the horse just goes and goes
I 100% support and agree with the purpose of this petition. Finally we can have a voice:)
Nobody believes that riding is a sport, the horse does not do all the work.
