As a County facility - the COUNTY provides for citizens (individuals) without considering them "consumer" that "provide profit". Meaning True CARE without the profit motive coming first. YES! I want a say about Ridgewood Care Center.

A for-profit owner would be just that: for-profit. Not for patients, not for employees. This has been a community treasure. It should continue to be that, even as it will require an investment of tax dollars.

Turning Ridgewood into a for-profit business will either raise the cost for the people who can't afford it, or lower the care for those who need it most. A terrible idea for a city that prides itself with the slogan "A Great Place to Live"

My mom was in a for profit home where it was very expensive and terrible care. She the transferred to St. Monica's where it was half the cost and excellent care. All the first place cared about was making money.
