After Hurricane Irene and the latest Fall snowstorm, it has become abundantly clear to many residents of Ridgefield that our cell service in an emergency situation is completely unacceptable. With frequent power outages lasting for days we need another means of contact. Many of us have had to risk our personal safety in these storms to report downed trees, power outages, etc. We are demanding something be done about this after the fiasco months back where the push for this service was dropped.
