In 1996 Rico Williams at the age of 16, was jailed for the murder and for attempted murder. Even with this horrible crime. My husband was immediately given life and 50 years for the other. The issue lies that my husband was not at all properly counselled. No one wanted to hear the true story of what happened the day of the incident. He was painted as a cold murderer. No one looked at the fact that he was a great teenager, never in trouble no bad reports, hard worker, was not into wanting to hurt someone. He was a teenager that was constantly bullied and ran down, chased, jumped on, and shot at repeatedly. The victims was older than my husband. After he was sentenced, appeal after appeal of denials. He was provided with a document from the other victim, stating that they were the ones that constantly harassed my husband. With this document we are in hopes of getting enough signatures for a chance for my husbands voice to be heard. We are extremely remorseful for the life that is no longer here. With this form and my husband voice with the amount of signatures, hopefully my husband will be get the opportunity to be heard.
