Richard was the best presenter on local radio. He could do the light stuff and he could do the heavy and serious stuff, always with style, eloquence and grace. It would be great to have him back on Saturday night.

Saturday nights aren't the same without Richard Spendlove. It's a pleasure to switch the radio and and listen to his soothing voice and chat.

BBC local radio is all music-based, at least Spendlove brought entertaining phone calls to radio - I'd have him 100% speech radio.

I listen to Richard every Saturday. He was a great comfort when I was in hospital after my stroke, and have been listening to him for years. Used to listen to Keith Skews, cardboard shoes, in the week, and Richard at the weekends. Shame both have had their shows cut back.
Best regards Mrs Sybil Rivett

I love listening to Richard when ever I can. he is a local chap to the region. and i know is a fantastic hit with many older listeners, especially those on their own. I think the best times would be 8pm till 11pm.
