Richard Grenell is An Enemy of The Albanian Nation and Kosovo and Albania
Dear Albanian fellows, please sign and share publicly on all social media. We will forward this petition to President Trump's campaign and ask them to keep this enemy of our people, Richard Grenell, away from all upcoming election events with our community.
Richard Grenell was President Trump's special envoy to Kosovo and Serbia in 2019. During his tenure, he developed a close relationship with Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić and was a key proponent of a land swap deal between Kosovo and Serbia. This deal would have ceded the mineral-rich northern part of Kosovo to Serbia in exchange for the Presheva Valley being returned to Kosovo. Clearly, the Serbian government demanded this.
Albin Kurti, a staunch Albanian patriot, rejected any deal that compromised Kosovo’s territorial integrity in favor of Serbia, complicating Grenell’s efforts. Grenell then undermined Kosovo’s sovereignty by pressuring the opposition to oust Kurti. Lawmakers dismissed Prime Minister Albin Kurti's government in a no-confidence vote, triggering a political crisis. Albin Kurti, along with the majority of Kosovo’s population, accused the U.S. envoy of being "directly involved" in the overthrow of his government less than two months after he took office as premier.
Kurti entered the race again and won by a significantly higher percentage, gaining the support and respect of Albanians worldwide.
While Richard Grenell has been accused multiple times of being biased towards Serbia, he has treated Kosovo and the Albanian people horribly. Kosovo has always been a darling of the United States, regardless of which political party occupied the White House; America has a strong foothold in the Balkans; however, Grenell’s support for Serbia and his prior knowledge of several recent conflicts provoked by the Serbs, not only were grounds for a new war in the Balkans but also opened the door for Russia and China to strengthen their position in the region.
A NY Times news article published last spring disclosed a very shady real estate deal between the government of Serbia and Jared Kushner’s private firm “Affinity Partners.” At this point, it was clear that Richard Grenell’s treatment of Kosovo, the Albanians, and their leaders was influenced by the negotiations of personal business for Affinity Partners.
It is clear that Richard Grenell has prioritized Jared Kushner’s business over US interests, risking the peace process between the two countries.
Serbia has never dared start a conflict since the war ended in 1999. However, it has done so in the past few years, feeling strengthened by its close relationship with Richard Grenell.
While most Albanians are freedom fighters and will support President Trump, they deeply dislike Richard Grenell. This dislike is rooted in recent events and, more importantly, in the way Richard Grenell has treated the government of Kosovo, referring to its leaders over and over again as fascists. Grenell has also tweeted congratulatory messages for events that, for the Serbs, mean "Kosovo is Serbia."
Our community flat-out refuses to attend events featuring Richard Grenell as a guest. Our community is asking the Trump campaign to cancel all “Albanians for Trump” events that Richard Grenell and shady individuals from Albania are organizing on behalf of President Trump.
Many in our community love Trump, but if you do NOT want to lose our vote, we humbly request that you keep Richard Grenell away from our events and our community and, most importantly, away from Kosovo and Albania. We want to see that the campaign takes this petition very seriously and never gives Richard Grenell the chance to act on President Trump's behalf regarding Kosovo and Albania matters. Otherwise, we will be forced to withdraw our support for President Trump and vote for Kamala Harris.
The Albanian-American community in Detroit and the US stand united and reject any form of support for an anti-Albanian, pro-Serbian individual like Richard Grenell.
We will not be complicit in supporting someone who undermines Kosovo’s sovereignty. Shqipëria mbi të gjitha!

I have been reading through the comments all morning and honestly the frustration people feel is so palpable because nobody wants our history ignored by someone who clearly has his own agenda. I am currently drafting a formal packet to send over to the transition team since it is important that they see exactly how much this actually matters to the actual community.

I really did not think this would take off like it has but here we are and the sheer volume of people who feel the same way about what happened back then is totally overwhelming. It feels like the message is finally cutting through all the noise and people are actually starting to pay attention to these past betrayals.

Yes that is true. Richard Grenell never been a friend of Albanian people and Albanian nation. His is friend of his financial interest and his paymasters in Russia and Serbia!!!!
Richard Grenell is the enemy of the Albanian people. Paid by Serbia to spread propaganda and ruin USA foreign policy.
Richard Grenell is anti-Albanian and a supporter of Serbian President Vucic, who is a Russian puppet. He clearly approaches this with great enthusiasm, as Serbian sources indicate he is financed by the Serbian government.
Grenell is the biggest threat to our countries, Kosovo and Albania. We as a community, can not fail and should stop it immediately
He's not with the people but against them!

Richard Grenell, just dislike him as he, on the behalf of Mr. Trump, behaves like he can do anything on Albania and Kosovo, even against our own national interest, just make mone for the sake of TRUMP, Trump family or him, Mr Grenell himself!
