Bill Reynolds: A Memorable Teacher
We recently learned that Bill Reynolds will be leaving Frances Hazel Reid after being destaffed to another school in Loudoun County. We must say that their gain is certainly our loss.
First and foremost, we are all parents: the most important job we will have in our lifetime. As parents, we entrust our children to teachers and staff at Frances Hazel Reid Elementary School for over 1,300 hours a year. Our baseline expectation is a safe, supportive and encouraging environment that nurtures, educates and prepares our children for the future. We are fortunate to be able to raise our families in one of the best school systems in the country.
A great teacher is one that makes learning fun, is an expert in their subject matter, shows students that they care about them as individuals, engages all students in the classroom, keeps students motivated with lively approaches, and is accessible to parents. Mr. Reynolds has all of those characteristics and more. He is approachable to students and parents, he respects student's opinions and ideas, he is a caring person with excellent listening skills, he is flexible and makes sure that students have an understanding of the concepts being taught.
Included in this petition are signatures and comments from current and former students, as well as parents who's child(ren) were fortunate enough to have Mr. Reynolds as a teacher.
We want the administration at Frances Hazel Reid and Loudoun County Public Schools to know that Mr. Reynolds, and teachers like him, have made a difference to the parents and students in this community.
