This plan needs to be a plan that sincerely includes the input of the residents of Mpls. Start over with serious outreach of ALL people and show respect and representation of your constituents whom you were elected to represent.

Absolutely, very little worse than having four or more stories next to a one or two story home: no light, no privacy. Height ordinances should be calculated by size of lot & distance from lot borders

This doesn't make sense. I am opposed to this and several other aspects of this 2040 plan.

Bad plan, no measurable evaluation outcomes, not evidence based.

I strongly oppose The 2040 Plan as written, PLEASE consider reworking it for all of us who love Minneapolis!

Do a better job. I support this letter. You need to do the work this time. To build a better city you need to do a better job of planning the entire infrastructure. The developers have made enough off our city. It is still our's, right?

There are things in the plan I agree with yet as the letter states, it misses the mark in some very critical ways. I strongly request you SLOW this down and give citizens a lot more time to get involved. I supported a more progressive city council but this feels more like a developers dream than a citizen led vision of our city.

This plan uses supply side housing to bring equity but, as we see in Seattle, it doesn’t work. The most affordable housing is the first to fall to developers. It’s hard to grow equity when a family is also paying high rent in new builds.

I strongly oppose the 2040 plan. It is critical that you get community input to draft a revised plan.

I support a re-work of the plan.

Our neighborhoods are why people want to live here. Single family home blocks should not be changed.

I am opposed to the significant reduction in parking for the city. The mass transit syt is ill equipped to handle the needs of families with children, handicapped, elderly and those who work outside the city.

I fail to see how this plan either increases affordability or improves quality of life in the City for anyone. If passed, it will undoubtedly diminish the character of the neighborhoods. The plan is misguided.

The plan appears, to me, to be designed to further the interests of the elites at the expense of the working man. Given past history in my neighborhood (the selling of Nicollet Ave at Lake that ruined the neighborhood for years), the city would do better to listen to those who have successully revived neighborhoods (the residents) rather than jamming their ill-conceived ideas down the throats of their citizens.

1. There is no data to support the misguided idea that more density means more affordability. 2. We refuse to leave the character of our neighborhoods to speculators and developers.
