This plan would destroy the unique qualities of Minneapolis. It will make housing less affordable by deemphasizing home ownership and ceding control to devopers of rental property.

Thank you for a well written petition that I support. As a Mpls homeowner for over 30 years, I reject the 2040 Plan in its current state. Back to the drawing board to address: differences in neighborhoods, realistic car parking needs, aesthetic and architectural design, the effects on home values, and improved logic on density. Push back the deadline to after National Night Out! Better yet, start over!

Any legitimate plan needs to have specific remedies and offer evidence those remedies will solve the problems. Any plan needs to have the support of a majority of citizen/constituents of the city.

This plan will ruin our neighborhood. Parking is already an issue.

I would like this complex issue to be further discussed. I believe there is always room for compromise when opposing parties respect and trust each other. I

We chose to live in Minneapolis because of the community, schools and quaint houses with yards. We DO NOT want high density housing next to my house or in our neighborhood.

I do not support any aspect of the 2040 Plan.. It is not the job of government to social engineer.

We purchased houses with yards in Minneapolis neighborhoods because we choose this family style of living. We the citizens will not stand by as you propose to allow developers to build inappropriate high density apartments right next-door to our houses.

Not enough thought put into actual impact on current infrastructure, controls and/or timing to review if goals are being met before too many multiplex are built and if there is a need to include adjacent streets which already have density issues.

Not enough details on how the Plan will be rolled out and how impact will be evaluated before more multiplexes are allowed.

I love Minneapolis, and believe in the benefit of diverse neighborhoods and high density housing. I also believe in zoning and city planning to ensure neighborhood integrity and responsible growth.

There is nothing in this plan that addresses affordability! Building more and more condos doesn’t help. Small condos are costing as much as a house twice the size in my neighborhood. You need some true economists involved.

I reject the 2040 plan for all of the reasons stated in the above petition.

The City Council's 2040 Plan is ill thought out and is a complete "sell out" to the developers with an eye to make money. Having lived and raised 5 children in a beautiful 1908 three story home at Humboldt and Mount Curve and now living with my wife in a smaller home in South Bryn Mawr, I find it appalling that our City Council, lead by Lisa Bender, would consider jamming 4 plexes onto the current 50' lots. HELP!!!!!!

I will lend all my support to fight against Minneapolis 2040. Mpls 2040 is not right is is an affront to all current residents of Minneapolis.

I am strongly against this plan! I have reached out to the Minneapolis government email address they give for comment (with no response), as well as, Mayor Frey and Lisa Bender. DO NOT RUIN THIS CITY.

I do not see how political supporters of this plan could possibly be fairly representing the people who elected them to office. I am disgusted by the assumptions this plan makes, as they do not reflect the community’s sentiment: witness the red signs going up on every block in SW. it is time for planners to re-examine this plan and listen to dissent and alarm of the people who live here.
