I have lived her my entire life, over 55 years, and do not agree with this plan.

Living in Marcy Holmes I am a homeowner the past 30 years. Housing density has increased dramatically with little planning v for traffic, parking and security. I support the residents of South Minneapolis who I know were not involved as this “plan” was developed.

I agree with an earlier sentiment that was expressed, we do not have the infrastructure to support the density. You are putting the cart before the horse as usual. Put the money into our existing infrastructure first then bring the people in. I say no to 2040!!!! Andy DiMartino

We don't have the infrastructure to have more housing. Roads and schools are already overcrowded and are at capacity in Minneapolis!

This plan will likely force many of us who like to live in stable, single-family dwelling neighborhoods, into the first or second tier suburbs where these neighborhoods will still exist.

PLEASE DO NOT ALLOW LAND GRABBING, BUILDERS DESTROY OUR NEIGHBORHOOD FOR THE SAKE OF UNJUSTIFIED PROFIT. THE CITY COUNCIL HAS DONE ENOUGH DAMAGE ALREADY. PLEASE STOP FURTHER DESTRUCTION OF OUR NEIGHBORHOOD.

Let us return to the former - and successful manner - of planning involving the neighborhood input!

I have been living in minneapolis for almost 30 years and have never known a city government that is so out of touch with its constituents as this council and mayor are. Not only are you completely out of touch with your constituents, you are also out of touch with reality. You honestly think developers will build affordable housing. Just look at southwest minneapolis. Look at what your inaction there has created. You allowed a the affordable single family homes to be bought and torn down by developers that have come out and said they can't build affordable houses. Thanks to most of you on this council our property taxes have skyrocketed based on the over priced cheaply built houses that have turned what used to be a beautiful into something that resembles a neighborhood you would find in lakeville. Do us all a favor, don't pass this garbage plan, and please, all of you, don't run for office again.

I think all of us want to more affordable housing for all residents, but this plan does not actually create a way of doing so. It seems to help developers, hurt single-family home owners, and will not actually create more affordable housing. Consider putting this to a public vote or allowing more input in neighborhoods versus blanket zoning changes.

Please consider the input of people who have lived in these neighborhoods, some of us for generations.

Do not destroy our neighborhoods by forcing multiple family housing with NO parking options. Go back to the drawing board. Put this to a public vote.

I strongly encourage you to get more feedback and input from citizens of Mpls before you put this plan in motion.

The housing stock and neighborhoods is what make Minneapolis beautiful and unique and attracts residents, we dont want that destroyed. We want affordable housing, but dont trust putting it in the hands of developers who will put profit first. Let neighborhoods have more input over their part of the plan.
