Today I would like to address the board about this unbelievable awful decision. The dps family has entrusted all of you to make informed decisions for our children. Over the last few days I have questioned if we have the right representatives making decisions for our children's future. I would specifically like to call out two board members. Taylor and Lacey. You both have made this a person vendetta against this young man. You both have tried to ruin and discredit all of the hard work Dunbar family and staff has put forward. I can remember sitting in the meeting when this SCANDAL took place. You both walked around trying to convince parents to allow the news to broadcast a closed family meeting. You were pushing the publicity to deflect the attention off of the real culprit. MARK BAKER who did not even meet the requirements or quailfications to even be a leader of an entire district. He was fired from Middletown. He did not quit. You covered this up. Unacceptable. Taylor and Lacey you both are up for election this year and I vow as a member of the community you will NOT have my vote. After this ordeal I will also convince others to rethink their votes as well. For the both of you to publicly support the wrong doing of Baker and not support the children of Dunbar is unacceptable. I was once proud to be a part of the DPS family now I'm truly ashamed. The Board knows the truth but choose to try to save face in the public eye instead of standing up and doing what we know is right. Releasing Darren should not have been on a separate vote. His contract should have been included alongside the others. Let's see White kept his job after he done the unthinkable. But you are not punishing him. Oh wait that's because him and Baker are best friend and Baker covered up for him. I will be expressing and sharing my displeasure with your news media friends that you have in your pocket that are posting fake stories as well. It's time to expose the truth all the way around.

Give the man his job back. Clearly the impact that this decision will have on the students is tremendous. Dayton Public doesn't have the best reputation, the Las thing the system needs is to lose mass pupils. As an Alumni of Dunbar class of 2001, I submit my signature for this petition.

My niece and nephew plays sports for dunbar and as recently as this school year now attend dunbar. Their parents based their decision to put them in public school solely based of Darren Powell. He took the time with my sister to show her what dunbar had to offer and explain that's is not all about sports. He has stayed to true to the promise that he made my sisters, which was he was take care of my niece and nephew. He has pushed both of them beyond their comfort zones. They are both excelling in and out of school. The growth i have seen in them is so amazing to me words can't explain. This all due to Mr. Darren Powell. He showed them that they are apart of a family, they are not just a student or athlete its bigger than that. Revote and give this great coach, mentor, motivator, and father figure, his job back. How can be okay with breaking up a family?
