This is simple. Fox News should not have valid press credentials issued by the White House Press Corps. The reason is simple - they are not a valid news channel. The Daily Show does not get press credentials and neither should Fox News. Just having the word "News" in your name doesn't make it true.

Fox News tells lies, and they do so consistently. For example, in December 2014 they reported that the Obama Administration is banning doughnuts, popcorn, Christmas Cookies, crackers, frozen pizza and canned frosting (as reported by Clayton Morris). The actual story was that trans-fat had been banned by the FDA. Oh, that happened in January 2014.

They reported that President Barack Obama would PERSONALLY fund the construction of a Muslim Museum. They reported that there is no medical data that supports the idea that second hand smoke kills. They reported that you can print your ballot in Colorado via computer and turn them over to collectors. They reported that Ebola can be transmitted by sneeze. They reported that in 2011 ISIS attacked Fort Knox. They reported that NASA falsified global warming data. They reported that the Obama administration manipulated the numbers to show they were deporting more people than the previous administration did, when in fact no manipulation is needed to show this.

They reported that only conservatives are getting banned form Facebook. They reported that probably over 1 million people voted twice in that year's general election (the actual number was closer to 200 nationwide). They claimed falsely that there is a way to avoid the penalties of not having health insurance on your taxes by clicking a box marked "hardship". They reported that the Earth has not warmed in the last 17 years.

They reported that social security was created as a way to get people to stop working. They reported that The Denver Post hired an editor to promote pot smoking. They reported that a census taker had reported that the Obama Administration had asked for unemployment numbers to be reduced heading into the election of 2014. They reported that the government said that 60 percent of all small business would lose their healthcare due to Obamacare (the government said nothing of the kind).

They reported that the Insurance industry is mostly run by Democrats. They reported that the poverty rate is unchanged since 1965. They reported that Florida Governor Rick Scott's approval ratings are up (they plummeted, but in all fairness he did win re-election). They reported that the average teacher salary in Wisconsin is $98K. They reported that the Muslim Brotherhood wanted to declare war on Israel. They reported that less than 10% of President Obama's appointees have experience in the private sector.

I could go on. This is just a small sampling. The website Punditfact reports that Fox News tells the whole truth about 18% of the time. That's about the same percentage of dentists who recommend sugary gum. That's not a credible news organization.

And then there's just the simple rhetoric. Anyone remember "Terrorist fist bump?"

Therefore I have put this petition together to ask that their White House press passes be revoked. This does not in any way infringe upon their 1st amendment rights. They can still say what they want, broadcast what they want, and continue to lie as much as they want. That is protected speech. Access is not, and given that they are not a valid news organization by any measured approach said access should be denied.

Thank you for reading my petition. If you agree, please sign.
