I'm sighing because I am a patriotic Australian person. And do believe that science is now bias in the wrong direction.

too much online and media spouting bad science I always check and get annoyed when a paper is checked the science is bogus , this needs to be sorted as most of general public do not check or are not qualified to recognise bad science and are totally misled and deceived

Yes i have never understood why the state government went with bad science. Peter has been a real eye opener to whats happening. I done read much but this issue of what people say is happening and what is really happening is so different. I have been of an opinion that the reef is devistated. Thankyou Peter for sheding light on truth. The state government has been jumping on board with minorites to make discissions.

This is long overdue. Science needs to be accountable and it needs to be right. There is too much money wasted on dodgy science

Stop decisions by all Govt levels and agencies being made without fact checking of the science.

Any policy should be underpinned by solid, checked, reviewed science. I know from first hand experience that the GBR is not dying and is in a very healthy state. Yet every time JCU wants another hand out they pull the old “reef is dying” chestnut out. This not only results in untold hardship to our rural industries and the towns that rely on them, but impacts our tourism as well. Every “reef is dying” story directs tourism dollars away from our shores and into other reef tourism destinations.
