How horrible. .so close to the edge of the waters of the world...take this horror deep into the middle of the desert and bury. It...how much cancer will this unleash on us all..no swimming..no fishing..I have not eaten fish for fifty years..a vegetarian...but 250.000 years...what of the earthquake fault that runs along the coastline cities there?. What of your food source..what of pure life for my children's children's children????? What money paid for this travesty? We want to know who ordered this..who authorized this and why....

Sea level rise is one of the biggest issues not many are thinking about regarding burial of nuclear waste and fuel waste at sea level. Additionally, nuclear fuel waste can be recycled. GE is doing it. We need to solutionize and innovate around this issue, and look to best practices in the world for answers. This is one of the most prestine surf sports in the world, the Marines are right next door, and SD, OC, and LA counties are all local. We are smarter than this.

It's insane to bury nuclear waste in extremely thin walled cannisters anywhere much less right by the beach where encroaching water levels can make them permanantly inaccessable. Thick walled - at least 19.75 inches thick cannisters that can be checked for cracks and corrosion are the closest we can come to a "solution" for the insane action of creating nuclear waste and using nuclear energy. Apparantly you're willing to kill anyone or anything in the pursuit of $$$. This is INSANE!

After Fukushima and other disasters, to tighten control in San Onofre should be a mandate from not only OC residents but all Californians.

Same problem for 12,000 metric tonnes of high level waste per year around the world. Show me the down-side of storage in the existing CONTAINMENT DOMES.

This is something we have been against from the very beginning. The location is way to close to South Orange County Neighborhoods and sits right on one of the major earthquake locations.

Too thin, too close to neighborhoods and in an earthquake zone -- bad idea.

Do not store waste in San Onofre. It’s in the earthquake zone. Bad and dangerous idea. Stop!

Storing toxic waste in an earthquake zone, so close to neighborhoods and the ocean is a terrible idea possible. We have Fukishima to look to for an example of the worst possible scenario. I urge you to come up with a better solution, and keep our ocean, coastal habitat and neighborhoods safe.
