Whereas we, the undersigned, do attest that we are registered members of the Republican or Independent Party or are Party Undeclared voters; and, Whereas, Republican candidate Joe Miller was duly elected by the voters of his party in the Alaska Republican Primary Election held August 24, 2010, as the candidate of their choice in the November 2, 2010 general election for the Senate seat now occupied by Lisa Murkowski; and, Whereas, Lisa Murkowski, incumbent Senator from Alaska in the Congress of the United States of America, has ignored the will of the Alaska voters of her party that Joe Miller is their candidate of choice for the Senate seat she currently occupies; and, Whereas, Lisa Murkowski has refused to acknowledge the selection by Alaskan Republicans of Joe Miller as their preferred candidate, refused to terminate her campaign and endorse Joe Miller as the preferred Senate candidate, and has acted divisively to initiate a write-in campaign on her behalf that will undermine efforts by the Republican Party to seat Joe Miller in the United States Senate in the November 2, 2010, general election; and, Whereas, Lisa Murkowski’s failure to acquiesce to the will of Alaska’s Republican voters will split the Republican vote during the November 2, 2010, general election and give the Democratic candidate for her Senate seat an unnecessary and critical advantage toward winning that seat; and, Whereas, Lisa Murkowski’s failure to acquiesce to the will of the voters of her Party in pursuing her write-in candidacy is tantamount to Party treason, is wholly detrimental to the effectiveness of Alaska’s Republican Party efforts to seat a Republican candidate for United States Senate and is contrary to good order and discipline within the Republican Party; and, Whereas, the full Senate Republican Conference within the United States Congress lately deferred making any decision regarding Lisa Murkowski’s rogue actions; NOW THEREFORE, we, the undersigned, petition and request that stern and decisive consideration be given by the leadership of the National and Alaska Republican Party to stripping Lisa Murkowski of her Republican credentials and her ability to raise campaign funds under auspices of the Republican Party, and to ousting her from the Republican Party; and, That the full Senate Republican Conference reconsider their deferring of action against Lisa Murkowski and immediately remove her from all of her Senatorial committee assignments and Republican Party designated roles in the Congress of the United States of America.
