On Tuesday, December 2nd, 2014, the Illinois Legislature made amendments to Senate Bill 1342 which was originally on a completely different subject. The amendments removed all of the bills previous content and replace it with the new bon on recording. The House passed it on the 3rd and the Senate on the 4th. The bill was passed through both the House and the Senate with overwhelming majority; 106-7 in the House on and 46-4-1 in the Senate. This is a deliberate removal of our constitutional right to free speech and I for one think that it should not stand.
