The situation is growing out of control and has to be addressed as a matter of urgency. There has to be permanent removal of the squatters and policing to ensure there is no return. What you inspect, is respected.

I wholeheartedly support any initiative to clean up the park and make it a safter, cleaner spot . The use of the park by vagrants is a flagrant breach of the City By Laws and needs to be addressed urgently . A positive solution, which allows the park to be used for its intended purpose as a open public space is supported .

We live directly opposite the park on Sidmouth Avenue and have nightly interruptions of noise and screaming. Fires are always made and there are many people sleeping at the bottom of the park making it dangerous for children and adults to cycle and play safely!

It would be great to further develop the MTB track that is in the park. One cannot use it as the track is blocked by the people sleeping there and is also unsafe to use alone. The smell and rubbish is also out of control.

This Park needs care and attention, the vagrants and all their attendant problems need to be removed. It is not fair that we as ratepayers ( exorbitant amount of money ) have to put up with this. It is for the council to deal with - we pay you for a service, you need to do your duty.

While acknowledging the complexity of the underlying causal factors and challenges around human settlements and unemployment, allowing this will only result in more invasive action required down the line. Let's not wait for it to escalate into a major crises, please.
