In 1.19 Microsoft/Mojang fully removed the feature to increase the gamma setting in Minecraft, this is going to disproportionately affect players that need the feature and that heavily cancels out any argument of it being detrimental since it can be used to find resources easier. I have been playing Minecraft for ~11 years now, I only found out how to up the gamma a few months ago. throughout my whole time playing the game I often get into situations where it is pitch black and I can not see or navigate. it would be life changing to be able to see at least a little bit at the darkest parts of my favorite game. I propose that a proper option be added in the video or accessibility settings menu to adjust the gamma of the game. Another thing I want to note is that I have pretty average eyesight. Growing up and still into adulthood, I've run into situations where if I am not in full darkness I still have enough glare that I am unable to see whatsoever. This impacts YouTube videos as well as gameplay. I have sat through many minutes, probably many hours at this point, of Minecraft videos where I cannot see. I am confident in saying that a large portion of the disabled community including myself, watch Minecraft youtubers to comfort ourselves through harder days. Microsoft/Mojang, please please please make your game more accessible to the thousands that are affected by the minimum brightness of Minecraft. <3
