The first series was cut short and the film seemed rushed to add closure. Never has there been a decent amalgamation of scifi and western, the music was beautiful. Directing amazing and cast superb. Not to mention the to scale firefly set. To not pick the series up and give Joss a chance to widen the firefly universe when so many questions left unanswered would be a huge mistake. Please dont leave it to the usual horrendous fan made crap!!

Ted is wrong about the fanbase size. I only watched this last year on netflix and now im obsessed. so much potential for more stories!
