Revitalize Pioneer Square: Demand Real Action!

This is an ill-conceived and out dated plan that will transform the historic heart of our city into a transit hub while killing small businesses and livelihoods that depend on them.

Please stop this ill conceived plan. Keep the community and art scene in Pioneer Square alive and vibrant.

This is bad urban planning and community building. Please preserve the Pioneer Square art district and use alternative plans

I implore us all to consider that we neither need nor want more small businesses to fail in downtown Seattle. This will have impact on more vulnerable businesses. I don't believe that the price to pay for the revitalization is worth it, the price will be a loss of businesses.

I feel the traffic revisions to this section of 3rd Ave S, between S. Washington and S. Main, would be detrimental to the Seattle art scene and to small businesses along 3rd Ave S. Please do not extend the damage already done to the rest of 3rd Ave any farther.

It is so difficult to find parking to visit the businesses on 3rd Ave S, that this new proposal will make it impossible to park nearby the galleries...this will impact the galleries immensely and an alternative that won't take away parking spots should be encouraged.

On top of this neglect of the Pioneer Square area, my bus to Tacoma no longer has a bus stop in Pioneer Square! Statistics show that art community concentrations, like this area, generate significant revenue from the local restaurants and businesses. Please restore this neighborhood to its former glory.

Please preserve the Pioneer Art District which supports the artists, makes a fun night of visiting the galleries, supports the restaurants and preserves the historic buildings and businesses.

Please listen to the concerns of neighborhood business owners.

City Reps and Council Members. It is time to do something for Seattle: the people of Seattle, the businesses of Seattle, the art community of Seattle. The decisions seem to be continually to the detriment of a once beautiful city. Pioneer Square was once a beautiful, vibrant part of the city enjoyed by the citizens of Seattle, as well as tourists. From the letter attached: "The current plans to transform our historic art district into a transit depot exacerbate this, threatening to undo our progress and resilience, especially in the wake of the pandemic." Wake up! Stop being self serving, and serve the people of Seattle, as your job title description details!

Please don't make a huge mistake

Please STOP and consider the interests of the local community before proceeding with this project- that's your job.

The vibrancy of the art district that is Pioneer Square will be decimated by this poorly thought out plan. Support the arts -- an essential and famous part of Seattle!

The cities plan disregards decades of history of Seattle’s 2 most prestigious galleries and small businesses negatively affected by this plan.

The City appears determined to destroy what remains of Pioneer Square.

Please preserve and revitalize pioneer square. This is my favorite part of the city full of character and charm.

This is poorly thought out and unnecessarily destructive to a thriving neighborhood.

The city's proposal does reduce access to a part of city that is pretty important to the arts. That area should be easily reached by foot traffic; the buses would inhibit the regular visitor and the the visitor who comes from out of town.

We need to save our galleries-- they are an important component of the neighborhood, too

Please reconsider and think of the long term effects of this which will drive more businesses away from pioneer square. There is another place to creat a loop that can be in a more industrial area south of the city. Think.
