This is a private petition by the UWI Journalism graduation class of 2015. It is asking for the Caribbean Institute of Media and Communication and by extension The University of the West Indies to review and make changes to the structure of some of the courses which chunk up large parts of our total grade and which doesn't allow us enough time or practice for solid hands on experience.
Your signature as part of this class is important for the review. With the way things are going it would appear that our final year may be the same thing. This is a new programme and it is still in the testing phases. It is our right to demand better learning experiences from the University. With the way some of us have been complaining among ourselves and to lecturers, our grades are not looking good. Here's an opportunity to get a fair shot at a good grade.
