I understand the issue for transgender people, but it's nothing compared to issue it will cause the majority of the general public. I would rather see the taxpayer have to pay to add an extra restroom than to have women and children at risk of those predators that would abuse this law to harm others. It's ridiculous to risk the safety of the majority for the comfort of the minority of people.

I work in corrections and know the evil that most do not. Do what makes sense, it's our duty to keep children safe.

I will not use locker rooms or restrooms where men are allowed. This has to be stopped.

Only a matter of time before a child gets molested or someone gets raped by a pretender or some confused nut job !!!!

Who would go to the restroom in public places when a sex offender might be in there waiting to get a peek or worst sexually assault someone. I would sooner let my children take care of their business outside behind the building than in a bathroom if this law is allowed.

There are many aspects regarding this issue and public input needs to be given - beyond "public meetings" in isolated places and very low profile and/or 1-day notice in newspapers just to make the process look legal and actually not BE legal enough. I believe a hearing was held in Colville, WA - I live in the Tri-cities 3-4 hours away and if they put the notice in the Spokesman-Review - I sure didn't get it. I believe Washingtonians can resolve this issue peacefully w/ some accommodations given but all sides of the issue need to take responsibility in limiting their rights in so much as they do not cross over others rights - especially when it allows so much risk and trauma that never really goes away and leads to suicide and depression for girls and women who are not safe. Their numbers are larger than those of transgender and cannot be set aside. Everyone needs to look at their facility and send in their solution or recommendations and basically do the Human Rights Commission should've done. By the way, guidelines came out in 2015, the Governor hand picks his commission 4 out of 5 are from the Puget sound and this is what we get from the "experts." Make a stand and send in a solution to your representatives, senators the Senate Committee of Commerce & Labor, the Senate Committee for Law & Justice, the House Judiciary committee and don't let up until this is made right! We are not going to have men in our bathrooms and locker rooms at will!

I think this is a law that makes it very unsafe for children and women in public restrooms and gives very easy access to predators. I can't imagine how this law ever got passed!

If "transgender" people want to have a bathroom to identify with give them their own. I shouldn't have to expose my kids to this. It's sick and wrong.

I believe the WA Open-Bathroom Policy should be rescinded. Implementation of this ruling needs to be stopped and the previous law restored to give better protections from predators.
