To me this is NOTHING against those who honestly identify as Transgender but rather those who would seek to use this as an avenue to assault or exploit women or men. This is an open door for predators to make a claim and gain access.

As a public safety issue, Transgender must not be allowed access to traditional male and female bathrooms, showers and locker rooms. Women and children, particularly, need protection from potential voyeurs and predators who will use the Transgender law to spy and prey on others.

Concern for mothers, daughters, grandmothers, granddaughters -- this "bathroom policy" that has been suggested by the human rights commission puts all of us at risk when we are in a public restroom or dressing room! This is taking the right of privacy away from the many to give to the few!! ALL humans have rights - including those of us who are "straight"!! If the transgender community is "uncomfortable" in the restrooms, locker rooms, dressing rooms to the gender consistent with their DNA, an area could possibly be set aside in another area for their privacy. In some instances, this may cause financial duress to the business, so this must be approached in a manner sympathetic to business owners, as well. I support repealing this rule of allowing transgender people into whatever private areas are set aside for ladies.

As a parent and 18 year PTA volunter, and PTA president for my children's elementary, middle, and high schools, as well as president for the council responsible for all PTAs in our school district, I am asking to repeal the OPEN BATHROOMS rule that is now in effect.
It is nonsensical to provide accommations for one group only to put another group - our vulnerable children - at high risk of pedophiles and other unsavory individuals who would enjoy taking advantage of this extremely loosely laid out rule.
Let's not wait until even ONE child is harmed because of this well-meaning, but troubling error that has been made.

I do not believe that this bill solves anything. In fact, it puts innocent women and children at risk. Please repeal this bill and vote in favor of gender neutral restrooms as well as traditional restrooms being made available.

As a society we must face the fact that there is a huge problem with females and children being sexually exploited, molested and assaulted by males. The transgender community has a right to be who they want to be but they are a tiny minority and this open bathroom policy threatens the freedom, psychological comfort and physical safety of ALL females and children. There are enough predators, peeping toms and sexually ill males within the population who must be prevented from taking away the freedom of females and children. We as women already have to be on alert for our safety outside of restrooms. This type of situation will take away the basic freedom to go to the bathroom, undress and shower because there is now an open door policy that will easily be abused. Please think of 100% of women and children before you grant this unsafe type of legislation! I go to a health club several times a week, use the shower and sauna. Sometimes I am alone in the womens shower area but have felt comfortable. A health club or restroom is a place to be able to relax and feel SAFE.
