This law is a ridiculous example of losing sanity in the name of political correctness. Have you not thought of the potential dangers of this law? Not only does it scoff in the face of thousands of years of tradition and human history, it allows for a whole new realm of subjectivity. Can a pervert now occupy a bathroom of the opposite sex and claim that they identify as that sex? Who's to say they are lying? This puts our women in danger of rape and sexual assault.

Tolerance. I get it. But we must face the fact that people are more likely to pray upon the opposite gender and predators are not above lying about their sexual orientation. This is utter foolishness on so many levels.

Predators will love this law. Allow the general public -- particularly women, girls and children needing a few moments away from men whom they may have reason to fear -- to continue to have the simple retreat of the lady's room. And if you really do believe in democracy and human rights, give the people the right to choose.

I do not want to expose my child to other peoples major life issues in such an invasive way. No. Take all if the money this would cost and pay for their mental health. This is the direction Washington should be going. Address the mental health issues of all Washington state residents.
