SOOO happy I graduated UT so I don't have to live through this. Another reason why I say I would never recommend UT to anyone. But the other students shouldn't have to live through this

This is unequivocally flawed. This not only affects upperclassmen, but also those who may need to actually stay on campus such as ROTC Cadets or Athletes. In a nutshell, this was based on the assumption that most upperclassmen can afford to live off campus. This is not always the case. I urge the University of Tampa to reconsider their policy.

Those of us who have been living on campus for our entire undergraduate career feel like UT is our home. To tell us that our dedication and appreciation of our university campus is unimportant will only up the already high transfer rates. In addition to that, this was not something that any of the students had a voice on. This doesn't affect faculty or staff - they don't live on campus.

I have so many friends who will be affected by this change in a visceral way. I stand by the previous housing guidelines which gave preference to upper classmen.

Absolutely ridiculous. This school has done so many things in the four years I've been here that makes me question why I didn't transfer before it was too late. From squeezing every dime out of you for reasons they can't even explain to now this, I'm just glad I'm almost done.

It is understandable that the University would want to make incoming freshman feel comfortable in their new communities.
But at the expense of upperclassmen who have demonstrated loyalty and commitment to the school? To treat them as objects for financial gain?
UT, better figure out what kind of message you want to send to past, current and future students of this institution.

i respect the administration very much, but I work very hard at UT as do other students. I want to know that I'm getting priority for a good housing environment as I earn it just like my fellow UT students.

It's super unfair that freshmen get the first pick! Every institution puts freshmen at the bottom like it should be and like it was for all upperclassmen at UT!

While I only lived on campus one year because I found a cheaper alternative living off campus, that is not an option for all. Not every student has transportation or the ability to rent an apartment due to lack of credit or a job while in school. If there is not ample housing for the student population there needs to be another option.

As an alum who lived on campus throughout my time at UT, I find it appalling that they've decided to have upperclassmen live off campus. I loved living on campus and since UT still hasn't fixed the parking problem, it's not fair to the upperclassmen to have to figure it out when UT can't. Fix this UT!!!

this new policy is not fair to international students or athletes who need to live on campus. Housing should be based in a credit basis, giving upperclassmen the priority in on campus housing.
