REVERSE THE DECISION TO IMPLEMENT PARKING CHARGES AT ASCOT HIGH STREET CAR PARK

Very unhelpful of RBWM. The free parking was one of the few perks small High Street small businesses could give their employees and customers. The lack of consultation is shocking

Will effect trade

I have employees that benefit from using this car park and many customer that need a little longer than what the high street can offer. Its rather unfair to the high street, its shops, workers and community to start charging for this car park.

How can people work here and pay these new charges everyday. Low salaries make these kind of changes hard on your already low income.

This car park has been free for as long as i can remember to have to pay would cost me to much a month as i am on a very low salary.

Very disappointed at this move to start charging for the car park, we are all workers who need to work for a living, and cannot think about affording to pay for that privilege!!!!

I work in ascot high street and parking is a nightmare

This is ludicrous

I am really upset that I should have to pay for the privilege of coming to work, as I only work part time this will be a big chunk out of my small salary, I would have to look at working nearer home so I could walk.

I work in Ascot but live in North West London so it is quite expensive to get here already. Any additional cost as in parking charges would actually deter me from working here.

I am shocked and disappointed that RBWM are looking to charge for this car park ! Most of the users are workers and this will be a considerable amount of their salary if implemented. Find another way to increase your funds RBWM without impinging on our salaries.

once again the local council see the motorist as way of getting a quick buck!

Please reverse this decision

Lots of people have taken jobs in the High St and part of their decision making would have based on Free Parking. The additional cost of parking may make them rethink about working in here in the High St. More importantly, local businesses may not be attracted to the High St if parking becomes a problem or a cost that their employees cannot afford. In age of big Retail Chains dominating High St's surely we need to support local businesses and charging for parking will not help them and their employees.

This will have a negative impact on the workforce of Ascot as well as the environment. You only have to look at London Road to see the pavement litred with cars

I think it is shameful that RBWM are now trying to charge to park in this car park, Most of the users work in Ascot and this will be a big chunk of their salary. Find another way to raise funds RBWM !

Lets not forget most of the people who use this car park come to work here in Ascot, we do not live here or can afford too. A little help for the working community who provide a service for Ascot. Thank you

The car park is essential to Local Businesses. Implementing a charge to park here is not on.

It is essential that this facility is kept and is not charged for!
