Thank you Mrs. Stephens for taking note that there are many who care deeply about the future of CCA. So that there is no confusion about our intentions, and in the spirit of transparency, I wanted to share the evolution of the petition: Following last night's meeting, despite you both availing yourselves for questions, several parents have shared that 1) there is still a great of confusion about how the decision to close CCA was reached and (2) that collectively, had we been given a chance, we might have had an opportunity to reverse the direction. We believe that there is strength in numbers and wanted to pull together to see what impact we might have if we leverage our talents and resources. To clarify, our request to meet with you, Pastor Steve, and others who have had a voice in this decision is a request to engage in a dialogue about the challenges that face CCA and what can be done collectively to meet these challenges. To be met with the response of "too little, too late" is disheartening, at best. We are hopeful that there is an opportunity to have our voices considered.  If we are, indeed, at the point of no return, I believe that this group, who has entrusted you daily with our children's futures, would appreciate a deeper understanding of how it is that we have ended up here.
