The purpose of this petition is to create a call to action. We, the students of Wingate University and other informed American citizens, are urging the Wingate Police Department to reverse their actions on November 17, 2018. It has become evident to many that the said department racially discriminated students on campus by issuing under-age drinking violations to a predominately African-American party room whilst allowing Caucasian individuals to party upstairs. This call to action is supported by damning video evidence provided not only by individuals within the "busted" party, but also by Caucasian individuals who were partaking in the "unbusted" partying. By signing this petition, you are agreeing that you believe students involved in said event have been violated and wish to see action taken on their behalf.
