Councils must not be allowed to ignore the wishes of local people. This is undemocratic.

Incredible
a. that the PC Cllrs interest was not revealed.
b. That the CC is defiling AONB areas that are not only in our environmental interest to protect, but also our commercial interest

This is exactly the kind of thing that makes for accusations of corruption in local politics - it ought to be thrown out and MUST be investigated...

The fact that this applicant is the Chair of the Parish Council should have been made clear from the outset - that alone is enough to render CCC's decision so dubious as to be invalid. This should be rejected and a public consultation held so those who love this utterly unspoiled stretch of countryside can be heard.

No, No, NO!!! We do not need anymore carbuncles on our national beauty spots. It doesn't matter that the proposed owner can afford to do this, and/or/ maybe do it in an ecological way, or if it would bring Cornwall any benefit. It would be an eyesore on our coastline for a number of year's then the council would have to clean it up when it falls in to the sea.

This permission should never have been granted. We cannot afford to lose any more beauty spots.

You are in charge of protecting this beautiful coastline. The planning has gone to the leader of the Kingsand caw sand council , so this smacks of corruption. I can not get my head around how you have let this happen, devastating a stunning area so that this man can have his ego massaged. i have no idea what hold he has on the council members but this is not right, this is a house not an agricultural building. I am unable to express how disgusted i am with how easily you have bowed and allowed this plan to go through. what is your justification ?

I completely disagree with the decision to allow this building in an area of AONB

The vast majority of public comments to the planning application (PA20/03747) far outstrip those in favour and may still be viewed on the Cornwall Council planning website.
There are many well argued and highly informed reasons why this development should have been turned down.

For all the reasons already stated, I strongly disagree with the decision to go ahead with the planning, particularly as the Planning officers were strongly against it!
