The debate over this application avoided a number of key areas that might have made a difference in the voting- remember if the vote had been tied the Chair said he would have been against the development. The agricultural tie is not attached to a holding so will be available for anyone with links to agriculture and forestry, it is highly likely the house will become a retirement home in the future. It was stated the home would not be seen from the sea and would be located in a dip, why then is the living accommodation on the second floor if not to take advantage of its location?
Wrong house in the wrong place for the wrong reasons.

Cornwall Council should retract this decision as it has not adhered to the recommendations from stakeholders. Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty are exceptional places which must be protected to protect wildlife and provide precious habitats. Furthermore they should be protected for future generations to enjoy.

This will spoil a beautiful part of Cornwalls coast line. It is this coast that is loved by local people, and attracts the tourists that help Cornwall's economy.

I believe they Used there seat of power and took advantage of covid / lockdown, this project wouldn't be allowed if anyone else would put forward such plans in such an area.
Afraid This Could be used as a new president for the Start of buildings being built in further locations protected from such building projects.
They have gone AGAINST very well argued opposition from AONB officer, have gone AGAINST local Councillor views/ Neighbourhood Development Plan, have gone AGAINST a large majority of objections left on CC site

This would overshadow the natural beauty of the area and really does not need to be placed there. It's all about how much money they can make from the view.

The neighbour hood plan was agreed by Cornwall Council if they now flaunt that agreement it will open the gates to more development ...this permission must be challenged

There is no justifiable reason for this development, and it will despoil a landscape that should be preserved for all to enjoy. The vital importance of the natural environment for wellbeing has been conclusively demonstrated during recent months, and denuding of essential habitat for native species must be prevented.

This area is an important natural conservation area and should remain so for locals and visitors alike. This kind of planning consent is dangerous as it sets precedents that local parish’s can not control.
