Reverse mask mandate at Richmond Volleyball Club

RVC is planning to continue with requiring masks while playing volleyball this season, despite continued decline in both number of cases and percent positivity. Number of cases and percent positivity is actually lower now than it was when we began play again in July 2020. While I personally considered foregoing playing when the mask requirement was announced in December, I understood their intentions. With case rates lower than July 202 and continue to decline, and vaccinations increase, I move that RVC reconsider their mask requirement while playing. This does not mean that individuals who choose to wear a mask cannot do so, but it would allow for individuals to make that decision on their personal preferences and medical conditions.
If you are in support of removing the mask requirement I would as you email Darcy and Liz as well as sign this petition. Thank you!
