My wife teaches on King George County and this change has adversely affected our summer vacation plans. Please move the start date back to after labor day.

And I'm a bus driver. They apparently forgot how hot and humid it is in August. Kids with breathing issues have a very difficult time in,that weather. I'd much rather drive in June.

We have to use vacation days now if wed still like to go on our August Vacation.

I have been told there is nothing that will change it. 2017 date has been decided too but I want the date changed back to after Labor Day

Very disappointed. One of the reasons I moved to KG is bc of the after labor day start.

I was always taught not to fix things that aren't broken. The school start date has always been after labor day for years and it worked fine. Why switch hundreds of people schedules around for no apparent gain?

Moving the start date before Labor Day has been both a scheduling burden, but also a financial one. Please reconsider your decision and return the start to after Labor Day.

This new change screwed up working schedules for friends and I during the summer. Our family also had to drop a vacation at the last minute with the school board's planning.

There are logical benefits for children to start school this early. Working families, such as my own, yearn for the summer time to spend time with their children for vacations or any free time allotted to do activities and spend those few months together. Starting school 2 months after the previous year release is ridiculous and interferes with a "break" that every child needs from hitting the books ALL year long.

The August 15th start date has thrown us into chaos. Please reconsider an after Labor Day start or at the very least, an end of August start.

Families are still taking vacations middle of August. This is not acceptable. We voted and should be heard! Start date after Labor Day per the parents!
