This is totally ridiculous. Let them have a damn OPEN sign to let patrons know they are open. I can't believe this is even an issue.

I depend on these "Open" signs to know if these small businesses along my stretch of 99 are in fact open! Please allow them to keep their signs. One too many small businesses have gone under along this stretch, and this signage allowance will help drivers see open storefronts as they drive past and this will keep them in business!

How would I know if a store is open? I cannot see through the tinted glass. I am not going to get out of the car and peer through the glass door to see if the place is open. Sorry this policy makes no sense.

The traditional business "Open" sign is not only not detracting from any sort of aesthetic value, but it serves a function that contributes to the livelihood of a business, which translates to having a positive effect on that business's immediate community.

I rely on these signs to show me what businesses are open as I pass, as I'm not gonna google every store I want to go to (never mind that the information online is often incorrect).

As a small business owner, it is imperative that customers know we are open. I have to believe that the HOA, in its attempts to keep a beautiful and appropriate "landscape" also desire for business do do well and prosper. I know that with all going on, this is a matter that can easily be resolved by level headed, intelligent beings who can reach an understanding. Thank you in advance HOA for reversing this rule and supporting small businesses.
