The dress code in the schools of the SRVUSD district needs to drastically be reevaluated in order to update the outdated rules, for example chain jewelry, head coverings, and tank tops, and in order to not objectify young women in our community. School's administration should respect the women in their school, and not make them feel that they are a "distraction" to boys by over sexualizing parts of the body that are historically not sexual. With this petition, we hope to rid the objectifying connotation of the school's dress code, and update some extremely out of date rules.
