There are lots of children who have been abused and eventually killed and the authorities have failed to protect them from suffering. This child must be terrified at the moment and the only thing that will take away that suffering is to have his mum or dad beside him. Any suffering that is happening to this child at the moment is caused by the aurthorities.

Cps now considering their position.
But to climb down and admit this is a total cock up and the parents cannot sensibly be charged with any crime, someone in cps must put hand up and admit their mistake.
But people in these positions never admit it, so no doubt the fiasco will continue.
Does anyone really think the correct place for them to be tonight is in jail?

As a nurse and social worker I am horrified, angered and disgusted by the lack of sensitivity and compassion. The only abuse here appears to be the emotional abuse that authorities are inflicting on this poor family and a seriously ill child. Where is the freedom of choice? Human rights ignored by overbearing medical professionals and over zealous police. Whilst this living family are torn apart there are scandals such as that in Rotherham where child abuse was blatantly ignored. Sadly too many professionals abuse their position of trust and quite honestly I think all those who have have allowed this to escalate into such an outrageous scenario should be struck off. Tonight a 5 year old sick child is probably scared, confused and without his loving family- how I humane is that? No wonder people have lost faith in health, social care and the police. I love my job, I'm proud of what I do, I just wish that my peers would not bring a valuable profession into disrepute! Let's hope common sense prevails! My thoughts are with this family.

Whatever the final outcome is, at this moment these parents need to be with their son and Aysha needs his parents as much as he needs medical intervention. For us to hold our heads high in a civilised democratic country it is imperative that the parents have the right to consider, explore and seek rationally the treatment available. It sounds as it the hospital had given up, as a parent you would move heaven and earth to protect and seek a cure for your child. The parents acted out of love and the knee jerk reaction of the police is pitiful.

On what legal grounds is this extradition being made. Parents wishing for the best for their poorly son captive in a cell. A sick,dying child deprived of the comfort and support of his mother and father, and likely to receive treatment not sactioned by his parents.
