Return Smart Lunch to it's original state before 10/25

Prime time have helped my son so much. Prime Time is needed in this school.

No smart lunch is going to mess up my internship which is one of my credits for school.

Exactly why school had never been the same since Mr. Crayton left ....

It's sad that we even have to do this tbh.

This is crazy. What about the students that actually spend their time at lunch doing work? What about the students who don't see their friends and that's the only thing they have going for them because of tragedies at lunch.

I like it the way it was

As a Wakefield high school student I believe that this new lunch policy will not serve to create peace among the student body, and will only prove to cause mayhem and provoke anger among the student population. I personally belong to four honors societies, all of which meet during smart lunch. I am required two times a week during lunch to attend teacher help for these honors societies in order to meet my hour requirements. Without smart lunch I would not be able to be involved in any of these clubs seeing as I work everyday after school from 2:30-8. During the inductions to these societies, Mr. Bazelle personally congratulated every member for our academic excellence and service in the community. Denying students opportunities to participate in these activities,in my opinion, means that Mr. Bazelle is failing as a principle. He is failing to provide support to the kids who always seem to be forgotten. The kids who always do what they should be doing, and maintain excellent GPAs, and utilize smart lunch for it's intended purpose. He is failing to move beyond the policy of "no child left behind". You are not failing these students by leaving them behind, they have already failed themselves, but you are failing the students that you are holding back with them. Mr. Bazelle as a principle should know that these kids are a lost cause and no form of punishment can change that. Do not punish the unnoticed and forgetter children. For once in our lives please, please do not forget us. Please realize the impact this may have on our future. It may not seem obvious at the time, but a domino effect will follow that can be detrimental to a persons life. It may just look like twenty minutes to you Mr. Bazelle, but it is so much more than that to many of your students.

Smart lunch helps me with my retest and I can't stay after school because I have to work. This is going to ruin everyone's schedules when the only time they can get help is during lunch. They need to put smart lunch back or peoples grades are going to go down.

Please give smart lunch back. I use this very frequently for clubs and to get help with school work. Thanks!

I agree. The actions of a few students do not condemn us all. It is an unfair and unwise decision to cancel smartlunch.
