A relic from the old Portuguese 'Estado Novo' stands facing a wall at the National Library in Maputo, Mozambique. The statue depicting the late António de Oliveira Salazar is the joke of the people in Mozambique, and an 'interesting' hidden tourist attraction. Let us bring this piece of history back to Portugal, and relieve it from the hands of the Mozambique government, who intend to either leave the statue to rot, or to send it to an old fort, "where other colonial relics are stored."
