I grew up in Belle Plaine. I sure hope you can take into consideration the wants of the majority and not that of one person! Our country was founded with religion in hand. How can you turn your back on our forefathers and completely seperate yourself from religion. Belle Plaine has always been a Christian town, so why can't you show that with pride!?

We Stand United! We respect and honor our Veteran's. To remove the Cross from a piece of artwork made by Veteran who is no longer with us is uncalled for... Our community should have had a voice BEFORE the meaningful artwork was defaced.

We have made the wooden crosses that are now at Veteran's Park. A resident has made vinyl decals replicating the artwork of the kneeling soldier at the cross to put on our vehicles. At the end of this week, the first batch of steel artwork replication of the kneeling soldier at the cross (same size) will be delivered to town for residents and businesses to display. They had a HUGE order!!!

Athesiasts especially not living in Belle Plain or this state should have a say on this. Put the soldier and cross back up. It is ridiculous that this is even an issue.
