As the founder and patron for Childline, I can only support this campaign to get Mr Cook drinking again. The infamous stories of drunken, yobbish and incoherent behaviour set an example time and again for my charity, helping these poor youngsters to stay on the straight and narrow. So with all my heart, thank you Mr Cook, and go and get bolloxed.

If I'd have known taking Ade for a few drinks and a curry (well OK a hell of a lot of drinks and a curry) would have turned him into a withering boring barstool, I would have took him sooner! No, I mean I wouldn't have left him drink so much and get banned from the curry house.
