The art center kept my childhood pure and free from crime. And the summer lunches were awsome

I received my first job at the Gary Crooks Memorial Center as the secretary for Trina hack in 1990. This help build my character and confidence. I also attended camps and art classes their along with the summer breakfast and lunch programs. Then I was able to volunteer with those same programs for kids after me who attended.

We need to create something for the kids here, which is what its purpose was intended.

This building was named after my uncle in memory of what my family had to experience at that point in lyfe with my uncle losing his life the Gary crooks was a safe haven for alotta of kids growing up we had alotta different programs that were being offered to the community from there in that center I feel it's ridiculous how people can just come along and make all these changes no it will not ever bring my uncle back but it will keep our family happy knowing that the Gary crooks is still being considered the Gary crooks and that it is being used for the right reasons bad enough whoever is running the Gary crooks now has disposed of my uncle Gary's picture that has been hanging up there hand drawn and painted there in the art center so yes I'm asking that everyone sign sign sign❤️❤️❤️

The quality of life for all of Bridgeport demands that artistic and social opportunities be readily available. The Gary Crooks Memorial Center must be restored for its intended purpose.

My uncle's death was symbolized through this vision this would be a slap in the face to the whole Crooks family and the community of P.T. Barnum
