It doesn't belong to the city, it belongs to the PT Community. Return it back to the community. Is there nothing sacred anymore? I remember Gary and the pain the community felt when he lost his young life. Respect is due!

We all grew up with the Gary crooks it is a major part of the P.T community. Stop taking away things to keep these kids out of trouble. The less the kids have to do with there time the more an more they end up in the streets an the more young life’s we lose to senseless violence

I am truly dismayed that a building that was built and intended to be a resource for children and their families is no longer serving its intended purpose. I was on the Board of Directors of ABCD during that period and I was at the ribbon cutting and dedication. Gary Crooks Center was meant to be a multi -service center serving the residents of that community.

As one of the staff for this original art center, I can assure you that developing children in the arts positively enhances the student and the generations that follow. Art and music have uplifted life throughout all time and everywhere. Why would we deny the spiritual nature of humankind to be enlightened.

As a former resident and community activist of PT barnum i agree that the community center should be for the residents and have resources for residents.

I was born and raised in PT. The Gary crooks was a place I had to go to keep me off the streets and it gave me somewhere safe to be. Having the Art Center in the Gary Crooks, allowed us to create and be ourselves. It would be a tragedy to take the Gary crooks away from the community. The children need a safe haven with positive influences.

We need a place for our children to grow, to give them a choice to be all they can be and not follow others that don't want to anything in life
